This four-day immersive retreat follows the natural rhythm of your day awakening, learning, integrating, resting, and grounding so you can experience how timing, environment, and evidence-based practices support sustainable well-being.

Each day blends continuing education, somatic wellness, peer connection, and restorative space to ensure learning is embodied, not overwhelming.

NURSING CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION: Nurses Feed Their Young®, is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Florida State Board of Nursing. Rest, Restore, Reconnect: A Somatic Wellness Retreat for Nurses

Behavioral Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate six somatic and mindfulness-based techniques for nervous system regulation

  • Describe the benefits of restorative yoga and guided rest for inflammation, energy balance, and emotional resilience

  • Apply embodied practices to daily self-care routines

  • Identify adaptations for professional or patient education use

  • Recognize experiential wellness practices as tools to reduce burnout and enhance well-being

Program Description

This multi-day experiential course supports nervous system regulation, restorative rest, and embodied self-care through intentionally timed practices delivered throughout each day. Nurses experience how gentle movement, breath, environment, and guided rest influence energy, inflammation, emotional resilience, and sleep quality without requiring prior yoga or mindfulness experience.

Participants gain practical tools they can integrate into daily life and adapt for professional or patient education settings, supporting longevity and balance across a nursing career.

Day 2 Educational Program

Menopossible: Managing and Navigating Menopause for Midlife Nurses

Led by Kelley Hill, MSN, FNP-C

Behavioral Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify physiologic changes associated with menopause

  • Compare hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options

  • Apply preventive care and wellness screening guidelines

  • Recognize devices and products supporting menopause wellness

  • Identify credible resources and menopause-informed providers

Program Description

This program empowers nurses with evidence-based knowledge about menopause and its impact on physical health, cognition, emotional well-being, and professional performance. Participants explore treatment options, screening guidelines, and shared decision-making strategies supporting both personal well-being and patient care.

By addressing menopause proactively, nurses can reduce burnout, enhance quality of life, and sustain a longer, healthier nursing career.

Day 3 Educational Program

Less Stress, More Balance: A Nurse's Journey to Intentional Living

Led by Teresa Sanderson, RN, CCM

Behavioral Objectives

Participants will:

  • Identify core personal values

  • Analyze alignment between values, work, and daily actions

  • Evaluate current work-life balance

  • Create a personalized intentional living plan

  • Develop actionable goals for sustainable well-being

Program Description

This interactive workshop supports nurses in stepping out of chronic overwhelm and into intentional, value-aligned living. Through reflection, discussion, and practical tools, participants develop a personalized plan for reducing stress, preventing burnout, and sustaining fulfillment professionally and personally.
